Predator Awareness

Is it love that is blind or your empathy that blinds you to its absence? Yep, your empathy gets in the way of finding happiness with a true love. How in the devil does empathy, a good thing, turn into a bad thing for selection of a soul mate?You use your empathy for interaction. Unfortunately most of us automatically assume everybody does. This assumption couldn’t be farther from the truth and it is the very thing that is relied upon by those in its absence. They pull your heart strings at every opportunity. Being played like a sweet violin.

After you are in their grasp you will find yourself in bed with a stranger. It is at this moment your life of anguish begins. Nothing prepares you for the commencement of some very crazy events. Crazy making is guaranteed. Doubt in yourself will be your constant companion.

You will not ask how a person so loving can be so cruel. You will look at your own behavior for answers. Self doubt distracts you. It is their behavior that is crazy. Without empathy, behavior is driven by desire without limitation. Crazy love is on.

Absence of empathy may not be fixable as of yet, the fat lady hasn’t sung. Individuals lacking this ingredient are of a different world. The colliding of the empathetic world and the absence world creates chaos for the empathizer.

Let your absence of empathy partner go to collide with another in the same world.

How do you know you hooked this fish? The signs are subtle so pay close attention. Absence of empathy is demonstrated by:

* never taking responsibility for their actions (blameless)
* demeanor changes in an instant
* delivery of barbs during your attempt at an in depth conversation
* eye contact usually only on the delivery of a command
* exaggerated smile that looks unnatural
* odd questions with your answers used against you later
* self promoting that does not line up with reality
* obvious lies without reason

Beyond this, if your partner is abusive physically and/or emotionally you need to let them go. Their absence of empathy produces this cruelty without remorse. Your effort through expression of feelings in hopes they will change is fruitless. The only one changing is you. Eventually you will come to a point you don’t recognize yourself.
